Cuthrell awarded Angello-Chesson Scholarship


RALEIGH - Collins Cuthrell, a member of the Rocky Mount High School Class of 2010, is the latest recipient of a $1,000 scholarship in honor of Joe Angello (’87) and Juan Chesson (’85) through The Gryphon Fund.

Cuthrell, who was a two-year starter in football and a three-year starter in baseball, has signed a national letter-of-intent to play baseball at Barton College in Wilson.

Past winners have gone on to further their education at North Carolina State, North Carolina Central, UNC-Charlotte, East Carolina and North Carolina Wesleyan.

Over $21,000 has been donated since The Fund began.
