Post 58 sweeps Edenton Post 40

EDENTON - Rocky Mount Coleman-Pitt Post 58 extended its winning streak to seven games with a sweep of a doubleheader Sunday with Edenton Post 40 at Historic Hicks Field. 

Post 58 won the opening game 16-5 - thanks to big games from Jay Aparicio and Matthew Berry. Aparicio went 2-for-5 with a grand slam home run and five RBI. Berry went 2-for-4 with two doubles and knocked in four. 

Spiers Miller also homered, knocked in two runs and scored four times.

In game 2, Post 58 broke a 5-all tie in the top of the 10th with a run to win 6-5.

Next up is a non-divisional home matchup with Johnston County Post 71 Wednesday at 7 p.m.
