He broke a multitude of records and goal lines across the college football landscape.

Now Elon University receiver Terrell Hudgins will try to break in at the highest professional level — the National Football League.

According to a report that surfaced Saturday night, Hudgins has agreed to a rookie free-agent contract with the Dallas Cowboys after being passed over through seven rounds and 255 picks of the NFL Draft.

Phoenix 14 News, which produces student-run television programs at Elon, said Hudgins (Rocky Mount, N.C.) is expected to sign with the Cowboys on Sunday.
