Twin Counties teams in the NCHSAA basketball playoffs, schedules

Eight Twin Counties basketball teams will hit the hardwoods Monday with dreams of bringing home a state title - just like the Rocky Mount Gryphons did a year ago.

The NCHSAA state basketball playoffs will get underway with several area teams participating. Five teams will be hosting, including two doubleheaders, and three squads will be hitting the road.

On the boys' side, Rocky Mount Prep, in its first-ever NCHSAA playoff game, North Edgecombe, Rocky Mount, Nash Central and Northern Nash will be in action to start the postseason, while North Edgecombe, Rocky Mount and Northern Nash will represent the girls.
