This is the first of a series of posts following past Gryphon athletes who are still performing on the college stage.Today were are looking at former Rocky Mount baseball and football player Travis Cobb. He is a senior wide receiver/kick returner for the University of Arizona Wildcats football team.
Through two games, Cobb (6-1, 180) has caught five receptions for 45 yards, and run twice for 20 yards. He has returned three kickoffs for 79 yards, with a 39-yarder for his season high.
But he and his Wildcat teammates will face their biggest challenge so far this season when they entertain No. 11-ranked Iowa in Tuscon Saturday evening.
