It will be Kinston Post 43 vs. Rocky Mount Post 58 - starting Tuesday

There will be no rematch with Wilson Post 11 this summer for the Area I East title for Rocky Mount Post 58.

Kinston Post 43 topped Wilson 6-1 Sunday evening at Kinston High School in game 3 of their American Legion Area I East semifinal series. This will be Kinston's deepest foray into the Legion playoffs since 1970. Rocky Mount Post 58 is the defending Area I champion.

Post 43 will now face Post 58 beginning Tuesday (7 p.m.) at Gryphon Stadium in their best of five series for the Eastern Division title. A victory in this series will guarantee the winner a berth in the N.C.State Tournament set for later this month at McCrary Park in Asheboro.
