Donnie Tharrington (middle, green shirt), of Don's Body Shop in Rocky Mount, makes a donation of $2,500 to the RMHS boys basketball team toward to purchase of championship rings. Tharrington has been a dedicated and committed member of the Rocky Mount community for many years and has supported causes in both the Nash-Rocky Mount and Edgecombe County school systems.

How much do these rings cost for goodness sakes? It's a shame that people aren't as willing to donate money towards the classroom. Sure would like for Gainey to give the public a figure on the true cost of the rings, I think he owes the public as well as the kind folks donating this courtesy.
Don't know how much the rings cost. If they are any way close to the cost of my high school or college class rings, I'd say between $200 and $250 apiece. And I am being conservative with those numbers!
