Tyler, who is listed at 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, was 38-for-59 for 403 yards and two touchdowns in the loss. His TD passes were 31 and 51 yards - both coming in the fourth quarter. The Falcons fell to 0-2 with the loss.
"The team has made a lot of strives to be where we need to be and we are taking a lot of steps forward and not back," Tyler told the Coalinga Record, the weekly newspaper that covers the Falcons.
In West Hills' season opener the week before, Tyler had 200 yards passing in a loss to Foothills JUCO.
