The American Legion baseball playoffs in Area 1 East kick off Monday evening with four sets of best-of-three series games. The higher seeds have the home-field advantage in each matchup. Below are the first-round pairings. Nash County Post 58, due to its 3-2 loss to Wilson Post 13 Thursday in its season finale, lost its chance to have home-field in the first round.
Post 58 will start play Monday at Wayne County Post 11 - being played at Mount Olive College's Scarborough Field. Game time is 7 p.m. The two teams will play at RMA's Alexander Field the next night.
